Miles Regis Joins Intel and Vice for 3D Art Exhibition at Coachella 2011
On the heels of a resounding debut at January’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Miles Regis and creative partner, Brian Quandt continue their 3D collaboration with Intel at this year’s Coachella Music Festival, April 15-17.
In January of 2011, with the support from Intel and Adobe, and in conjunction with Art Technology Labs, The 3D Art Project made its debut exhibiting at CES inside the famed Intel Booth. Listed as one of the top 5 uses of 3D at CES by the International Business Times, the project is a one-of-a-kind artistic collaboration using original works from renowned artist Miles Regis and art technology visionary, Brian Quandt. Utilizing leading edge technologies including 2D-3D conversion, glasses-free viewing and more, the 3D Art Project offers viewers a never-before seen art experience. As a viewer sees the layers within the paintings at varying depths in 3D, he/she is also witnessing the chronological and emotional progression of the artwork as it was being made – the beginning of the painting furthest from the viewer, and each additional layer on planes closer to the viewer.
For the Coachella Valley Music Festival and its 80,000 attendees, Miles and Brian will be creating a new work entitled, “The Music Peace.” The work will be part of the kick-off for an international tour with the Creators Project, a collaborative effort between Intel and Vice, celebrating art, music, and culture. The tour will hit major festivals in cities around the world including Beijing, Seoul, Lyon, Paris, Sao Paolo, and New York. “Working with Intel and the Creators Project has been an exciting journey for me, creatively, and I’m looking forward to how far we can take the 3D work and give people an inspiring, creative experience,” says Regis.
Miles and Brian will also be leading the development of new works with other artists selected as participants in the Creators Project. The development of the work includes technology, equipment, and marketing support from Intel, Adobe, Genius Effect Media Group, and glasses-free 3D screen maker, Alioscopy.

Please join us in Las Vegas, Nevada from January 6-9 for CES, America’s largest electronics show, for the debut of the Miles Regis 4D Art Project.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
The 4D Art Project is a one-of-a-kind artistic collaboration utilizing the works of renowned artist Miles Regis and electronic artist and visionary, Brian Quandt, and supported by corporate entities, Intel and Adobe. Utilizing leading-edge technologies including 2D-3D conversion, auto-stereoscopic viewing and more, the 4D Art Project offers viewers a never-before seen art experience.
WHAT IS 4D?
The fourth dimension is time. As a viewer sees the layers within the paintings at varying depths in 3D, he/she is also witnessing the chronological progression of the artwork as it was being made – the beginning of the painting furthest from the viewer, and each additional layer on planes closer to the viewer. Should he choose, the artist can also move these planes backward or forward to enhance his creative presentation and/or alter the viewer’s visual perception of time.
THE INTEL BOOTH
Intel will be among the 2011 CES exhibitors, occupying 12,000 square feet of prime real estate in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. Please visit us at Intel Booth #7153.
